Club soccer: home wins, draws, and away wins
13,327 settled Polymarket club matches with all three result markets, November 21, 2025 to September 13, 2026; every one resolved exactly one Yes. National-team matches, friendlies, and one-match super cups are left out. The home win rate's half-width is 0.84 points.

Every Polymarket soccer match is an event with 3 binary markets. For the Manchester derby on September 13, 2026 they were "Will Manchester United FC win on 2026-09-13?", "Will Manchester City FC win on 2026-09-13?" and "Will Manchester United FC vs. Manchester City FC end in a draw?". A Yes share pays $1 if its outcome happens, and a No share pays $1 if it does not.
Exactly one of the three settles Yes, and the data holds to that rule: all 10,436 matches from April 2 to September 13, 2026 with the three markets listed and settled resolved exactly one Yes. Most soccer markets settle on the match as its rules define it, so check a cup match's rules for extra time and penalties.
The money is not split three ways. The team markets carry it, and the draw is the thin book on the match (the chart above), so a draw price moves on smaller orders and a limit order matters more there than on a team.
When the three prices add up to $1, the draw price is the draw rate
Where the three prices added up to about $1, every draw band under 32¢ drew within 0.6 points of its price
How often the match drew minus the average draw price before kickoff, in percentage points, by that price, on matches whose team, draw and team prices summed to 98¢ to $1.02. Near zero, the price was the rate.
9,958 Polymarket soccer matches with a kickoff from April 2 to October 9, 2026 and the draw settled, at the last point of Polymarket's price history before kickoff, the three prices read within 2 hours of each other; 1,536 matches whose prices summed outside 98¢ to $1.02 are left out. Overall, 25.0¢ against 25.3%, give or take 0.85 points. Read-only query on a child branch of production, run 14:18 UTC on October 11, 2026.
| Under 20¢ | 0.0 pts |
|---|---|
| 20-24¢ | -0.3 pts |
| 24-28¢ | +0.3 pts |
| 28-32¢ | +0.6 pts |
| 32¢ and up | +2.4 pts |
Read a draw price as the chance of a draw. On 9,958 Polymarket matches from April 2 to October 9, 2026 whose three prices added up to between 98¢ and $1.02 before kickoff, the draw averaged 25.0¢ and the matches drew 25.3% of the time, give or take 0.85 points. The price held band by band too (the chart above), so a draw price needs no correction before you set it against your own view of the match.
The prices hold each other in place because exactly one result happens. Home at 50¢, draw at 27¢ and away at 25¢ add up to $1.02, and the 2¢ over is what buying all three at those asks costs above the $1 that one of them pays. If the draw rose to 32¢ with the team prices unchanged, the three would sum to $1.07, and anyone could buy No on all three for $1.93 and collect $2, because exactly two of the three No shares pay. Traders take that gap, so the draw moves when a team price moves.
A sum far from $1 means at least one of the three is not a price you could trade. On 1,536 of the 11,494 matches the three added up to something else, at a median of $1.29, and 799 of them showed a draw at 40¢ or more. Across them, the draw averaged 37.6¢ and the matches drew 21.9% of the time. Add the three up before you read any one of them, and check the bid and ask on a thin draw book.
A sportsbook pricing the same match at -110, +250 and +300 implies 52.4%, 28.6% and 25.0%, which add up to 106%. The margin is folded into the odds, and only the sum shows it.
Double chance is one trade: No on a team
Before kickoff, large buyers of No on a team beat the price and buyers of Yes trailed it, on favorites and underdogs alike
Edge of large pre-kickoff buys on the team-to-win markets: how often the side bought won, minus the average price paid, in percentage points. No on a team is double chance.
53,970 large Polymarket buys 0xinsider recorded before kickoff (smallest about $3,000 before July 2, 2026, and $10,000 or more for 97% of buys after), April 2 to September 13, 2026, on markets that settled after the trade. A favorite is a team priced 50¢ or more to win. Not resampled by row. Read-only production query run 18:32 UTC on September 13, 2026.
| Favorite to win, Yes | -1.62 pts |
|---|---|
| Favorite to win, No | +2.92 pts |
| Underdog to win, Yes | -1.21 pts |
| Underdog to win, No | +3.69 pts |
Before kickoff, large buyers of No on a team came out ahead of the price on favorites and underdogs alike, and large buyers of Yes trailed it. Across all 26,235 pre-kickoff No buys the edge was plus 3.40 points, on a match-resampled interval from minus 0.83 to plus 7.55 that includes zero: a lean, not an edge you can bank.
A double chance bet wins on two of the three results, and on Polymarket each one is a single No share. Home or draw is No on the away team to win. Away or draw is No on the home team. Home or away is No on the draw.
With the home side at 50¢, the draw at 27¢ and the away side at 25¢, No on the away team costs about 76¢, one minus the away team's bid. It pays $1 if the home side wins or the match draws, a return of 32% on the stake. Building the same bet from home Yes at 50¢ and draw Yes at 27¢ costs 77¢, so the No is cheaper here and simpler everywhere: one trade instead of two.
Draw no bet, built from two markets
Profit on $100 by result: team to win, double chance, and draw no bet
Arithmetic on example prices, not a measurement: home 50¢, draw 27¢, away 25¢, No on the away team 76¢. Double chance is one No share; draw no bet splits the stake between home Yes and draw Yes so a draw returns the $100. Before fees and the spread.
- Home Yes at 50¢
- No on away at 76¢ (double chance)
- Draw no bet, home ($73 home, $27 draw)
Draw no bet refunds the stake on a draw. Polymarket has no market for it, but two trades build it exactly. To back the home side draw no bet with $100, put the stake across home Yes and draw Yes in proportion to one minus the draw price and the draw price: $73 on home Yes at 50¢ and $27 on draw Yes at 27¢.
If the home side wins, the $73 buys 146 shares that pay $146, a profit of $46. If the match draws, the $27 buys 100 draw shares that pay $100, so the stake comes back. If the away side wins, both lose and the $100 is gone.
The general split is the draw price times the stake on the draw, and the rest on the team, and the effective price of the draw no bet is the team price divided by one minus the draw price: 50 divided by 73, or 68.5%.
The chart above puts the three bets side by side on the same example prices: home Yes, double chance through No on the away team, and draw no bet on the home side. It is arithmetic on example prices, not a measurement, and it ignores fees and the spread.
How often matches draw, by league
Draw rate by competition
Competitions with 300 or more settled Polymarket draw markets, by match count. 17,953 settled Polymarket soccer draw markets with a kickoff, August 24, 2024 to September 13, 2026. Overall: 25.9%. Half-widths run from 3 to 5 points; the tooltip carries each one.
The draw rate varies more by competition than by season, and it has run lower lately. Across 17,953 settled Polymarket matches from August 2024 to September 13, 2026, 25.9% drew. On the 1,857 matches that kicked off from September 14 to October 9, 2026, 23.3% did, give or take 1.92 points: lower than any quarter of the study with more than 700 matches.
The competition moves it further. The Champions League and the Europa League both drew 18.4% of the time, and Argentina's Primera División 31.0%. Each league's rate carries a half-width of 3 to 5 points, listed in the soccer draws study.
Use the competition as your starting point. A Champions League draw priced like a Premier League draw is priced for a result that happens less often, and an Argentine draw at 25¢ is priced below that league's history.
Is the draw underpriced?
Win rate minus price paid, by market and side
Percentage points. Large Polymarket buys on soccer's three match markets, April 2 to September 13, 2026, settled markets only. The sides that include the draw came in ahead and the sides that exclude it behind; no interval, resampled by match, clears zero.
- Before kickoff
- In-play
If traders prefer backing a team to backing a stalemate, the draw should be a little cheap. The Polymarket data leans that way without proving it. From April to September 2026, large buyers of the draw paid 42.6¢ on average and won 46.6% of the time, 4.00 points ahead of the price, and large buyers of No on the draw came in 2.11 points behind.
Counted one match at a time, the 350 draws bought before kickoff were priced at 27.3¢ and drew 28.6% of the time.
None of those clears zero once each match counts once. Large bets cluster: the 10 draw markets with the most large Yes buys held 17% of them, and 8 of those 10 matches drew. So treat the draw as fairly priced with a slight lean, and bet it when your view of this match differs from the market's, not because draws are cheap in general.
Live soccer: the draw price and the clock
Draw bought during the match: price paid against how often it held
Cents and percent, by the price large buyers paid for the draw after kickoff. A level match's draw price climbs as time passes. Large Polymarket buys on soccer's three match markets, April 2 to September 13, 2026, settled markets only. Not bootstrapped by band; the whole in-play draw Yes result is +4.21 pts, CI [-4.21, +12.00].
- Price paid
- Share that drew
Once the match starts, the draw market behaves differently from the team markets. A level match becomes more likely to end level with every minute that passes, so the draw price rises through a tied second half and falls away the moment anyone scores. Large in-play draw buyers paid 51.8¢ on average, against 28.1¢ before kickoff.
In-play draw buys between 50¢ and 70¢ won 68.2% of the time at an average of 59.5¢, the part of the draw market that looked cheapest in the data, on 544 buys. Draw buys at 70¢ and up, a level match deep into the half, won 81.2% at 84.1¢ and came in behind.
A red card, an injury or a substitution changes the scoring rate and the live price with it. The large-trade feed shows who is trading the move: live with Pro, 24 hours behind with an account, and a day old on the public feed.
Goals: soccer totals
Soccer game totals by line: win rate minus price paid
Percentage points, the three soccer lines with 300 or more large buys on both sides. Over 3.5 buyers paid 51¢ and won 46%, minus 5.1 points, on an interval from minus 16.0 to plus 5.5.
- Over
- Under
The other soccer market with real volume is the total. Polymarket lists Over and Under on a half-point number of goals, most often 2.5, with 1.5 for games the market expects to be tight and 3.5 for open ones. The Over hit 2.5 goals in 52.8% of 9,731 settled Polymarket matches, and on the 1,986 matches from September 14 to October 9, 2026 it hit 55.5%, so the standard line went over a little more often, not less.
The chart above shows large buys on soccer totals by line. Over 3.5 buyers paid 51¢ and won 46% of the time in 2026, on an interval too wide to call. The over/under guide covers totals in full, and the both teams to score guide covers the other goals market.

| Draw, Yes | 14 |
In a month of the large-trade feed, 13 of 1,663 large trades on soccer results were buys of Draw Yes. Large soccer money backs a team or bets against one, so a draw backed in size is rare enough to stand out. When one shows up in the feed, open the match and look at who placed it.
Recorded large taker fills that pass the feed filters appear in the feed marked BUY or SELL with the wallet's grade: live with Pro, 24 hours behind with an account, and a day old on the public feed without signing in. The soccer board lists each match with the home, draw and away prices, a countdown to kickoff, and the live score when the provider sends one.
Under each match, the Profitable wallets band shows each outcome's share of the profitable wallets' money beside its price, the draw included: live with Pro, 4 hours old with an account and 12 hours old signed out. Pick of the Day includes soccer and records each pick's entry price and, where captured, its closing price.
On the match's event page, Top holders, a Pro section, lists the wallets holding each outcome with their grades, with a switch for each of the three markets and for Yes or No on each. That shows you who holds No on a team: the double chance side.

The draw is priced close to its rate; the edge has to come from your read of the match.
