# Polymarket wallet tracker: how to track any wallet's positions and P&L

Every Polymarket wallet is public. Its address gives you every open position, every closed one, and the P&L behind them. This guide finds a wallet, reads its settled record, and follows it on 0xinsider, where an account follows 3 wallets free.

## What a Polymarket wallet tracker does

A wallet tracker answers 3 questions about one Polymarket wallet: what it holds right now, what it has won or lost on markets that already settled, and what it trades next. Polymarket publishes the raw data for all 3. A tracker puts them on one page, compares the wallet with everyone else trading the same markets, and tells you when it moves.

The steps below work for any wallet. Each one names the Polymarket data it reads and where 0xinsider shows the same thing.

## Step 1: find the wallet's address

Every Polymarket account trades from a smart wallet, and that wallet's address is what you track. Polymarket's docs name 3 kinds. The Deposit Wallet is the default for every account wallet deployed on or after May 4, 2026. The Proxy Wallet is the legacy wallet for accounts created through Magic Link or Google sign-in. The Safe Wallet is the legacy wallet for accounts created with an external signer such as MetaMask or Rabby.

That last kind trips people up. The MetaMask address signs the orders, but the positions sit in the smart wallet created for the account. Track the account wallet, the address Polymarket shows in its profile menu, not the signer.

For someone else's wallet, start from a name. The 0xinsider search box takes a Polymarket username or a wallet address. Every row on 0xinsider.com/leaderboard, every wallet in a market's top holders, and the trader on each trade's page link to that wallet's profile.

## Step 2: read what the wallet holds now

Open positions are the live half of the record. Polymarket's wallet data gives each one a size in shares, an average entry price, the current price and value, and a P&L split into a realized part and an unrealized part. On 0xinsider the profile lives at /profile/ plus the address, or /profile/@ plus the username, and shows the open positions beside the closed ones.

Unrealized P&L is a mark, not a result. A position bought at 40 cents and trading at 60 shows a profit that disappears if the game goes the other way. Read open positions for what the wallet believes today. Read its settled record for whether its beliefs have paid.

If 0xinsider has not seen the wallet before, opening its profile starts the import. The page shows the progress, syncing open positions, then closed positions, then rebuilding the P&L history, instead of an empty record.

## Step 3: judge the wallet on settled P&L

Settled P&L decides whether a wallet is worth tracking, because it counts only markets that resolved and no open position can flatter it. 0xinsider grades every wallet with enough history from that settled record: S, A, B, C, D, or F, and Unranked when the history is too thin. The result is net of fees, counts maker and taker rebates, and leaves out rewards and referral income.

S, A, and B are the profitable wallets, the cohort the sports boards and game pages read. D and F have lost money on their settled record. The chart above shows how the graded wallets split across the 6 grades on one run date.

A grade is a summary. Before you follow a wallet, open the profile's Insights (strategy, Sharpe, Sortino, value at risk, drawdown, and category performance) and check how many markets settled behind the grade. 0xinsider.com/learn/how-to-analyze-trader-track-record covers win rate, profit factor, and the signs of a lucky streak, and 0xinsider.com/learn/prediction-market-trader-grades-explained shows how each grade is built.

## Step 4: follow the wallet

Click Follow on a profile and the wallet lands on your watchlist at 0xinsider.com/watchlist. Each row shows the wallet's P&L, its win rate, and when you added it, and a private nickname records why it is there. Followed wallets refresh on a 6-hour target.

An account follows 3 wallets free, and Pro follows are unlimited. Pro also sends follow emails, in one of 2 modes per wallet. Trade details sends the market, side, outcome, price, and value of each large trade in the next 15-minute digest. 24h summary sends one roll-up of the last 24 hours. Without Pro the list still works, and the emails start when you upgrade.

The large-trade feed has a Following view that narrows it to the wallets you follow. What that view covers and what it misses is in 0xinsider.com/learn/how-to-follow-trades-real-time.

## Step 5: get told when a wallet trades

A watchlist only helps when you look at it. A custom trade alert matches every new large trade against your filters on category, size, grade, and new wallets, so the trade finds you. The setup is in 0xinsider.com/learn/how-to-set-up-custom-trade-alerts.

An account without Pro holds 1 alert, which emails the 3 largest trades a day that match its filters, or that a tracked wallet makes on a game you pick. Pro holds 50. Set the grade floor before the size floor: a trade from a wallet with no settled record says little at any size.

## What a wallet tracker cannot tell you

A wallet is not a person. One trader can run several wallets, and a wallet's history stops where its owner moved to a new one. A grade covers the wallet in front of you and nothing else.

Tracking a wallet is not copying it. You see the trade after it filled, and the price has often moved by the time you act. Treat a followed wallet's trade as a reason to look at the market, then decide on the price in front of you. 0xinsider.com/learn/how-to-use-whale-trade-data covers reading a large trade before you act on it.

Provider data can arrive late, arrive incomplete, or be reconciled later. A missing alert does not prove the wallet did not trade.

## Frequently Asked Questions

Is a Polymarket wallet's history public? Yes. Polymarket's own wallet data answers for any address: open positions, closed positions, activity history, portfolio value, and P&L history. Its public profile data resolves an address to the name, pseudonym, and bio the account chose to show.

Can I track a wallet without an account? Yes. Profiles, grades, positions, Insights, and the leaderboard are free to read. Following a wallet and saving an alert need a free account.

Does 0xinsider count open positions in a wallet's grade? No. The grade reads settled P&L only, so a wallet cannot raise its grade by holding a position that is up on paper.

Is following a wallet the same as copy-trading? No. Following puts the wallet on your watchlist and, on Pro, emails you when it trades. 0xinsider places no orders.

How many wallets can I follow for free? 3. Pro follows are unlimited.
